Anna Catherine Bixler was born on May 12, 1847, in Pennsylvania. Other records show her birthdate as May 10, 1843, or 1845. She was the 4th child born to John H Bixler and Ann Catherine Hopple. The family moved to Radnor, IL and she was baptized in May 1853 at St. Peter's Church in Piper City. She had one son, John Saxton and then married Andrew Walsh on February 3, 1869, in IL. They had seven children together. After Andrew died, she married John P Haney on January 6, 1909. Anna Catherine died on October 18, 1931, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at the age of 84 at the home of her son John Walsh. The funeral was held at St. Peter's Church on Wednesday, Oct 21st in Piper City and she was buried in Calvary Cemetery.
