Obit:

Jack was born in Coldwater, MI to the parents of Glenn and Hazel Byers. He had two sisters Beatrice (Bea) and Betty, now both deceased. In 1952 he married Jean VanBlarcom also of Coldwater. After having their daughters, Cameron and Darlene, they moved to California where they made their life there for over 67 years.

Jack had many fulfilling jobs including RCA mechanic, Service Manager for both Ford and Dodge, opened his own CB and Ham radio business, and owner/operator of 18-wheeler trucking company going cross country. His last job before retirement was the maintenance and security manager for an IT disc manufacturing business.

Jack was in his early 70's when he found out he had Macular Degeneration eye disease, he lost sight only to remain at 96% left to see. But that didn't stop Jack from loving and playing with all of his 3 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren, all who live in the Southern California area.

Jack passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 91 on Friday, February 9th, 2024. He is survived by his daughters Cameron Morgan, who lives in Texas and his other daughter Darlene Greenwood who lives in Arizona.

Jack's ashes will be laid to rest next to his wife Jean and his other family members at Oak Grove Cemetery.
