Funeral services for Knut Henry Flaskerud, 67, were conducted by the Rev. M.A. Berkeland at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 28 in Calmar Lutheran Church. He died Friday night at his home of a heart attack. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers were George Brom, Erick Flaskerud, Paul Hackman, Norman Hjelmeland, Valerian Kuboushek and Carl Nystrom. Mrs. Leslie Loveland served as organist,and hymns were sung by the congregation. French Funeral home was in charge.

Knut Henry Flaskerud, son of Andrew and Eli Flaskerud was born Oct. 14, 1901 at Calmar. He attended public and parochial schools, also attended Luther Academy at Albert Lea, Minn. On July 11, 1932 he married the former Miss Kitty Hjelmeland in Calmar Lutheran Church.

As a young man he worked as a hired hand on farms; in 1926 he was associated with Wessels Hardware; and in 1930 operated Flaskerud and Korbel Hardware. Since 1930 he was engaged in farming the old homestead until the time of his death.

Survivors include his widow; two sons, David of Farmington, Minn.; Richard at home; a daughter, Margaret (Mrs. Ed Jaster) of Northlake, Ill., and a granddaughter, Jacquelyn Jaster. Also surviving are three sisters, Agnes and Emma Flaskerud, Calmar; Esther Flaskerud, Culver City, Calif.; three brothers, Walter, Calmar, Elif, Decorah and Ole of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John and a sister, Mrs. Clara Kittlesby.
