Katherine married Shorey Cameron Guess on 6 Oct. 1932, in Manhattan at the home of her mother, 41 Fifth Ave. with only immediate family present due to the recent death of her father Judge George M. Young in May of 1932. George was the presiding judge of the US Customs Court at the time of his death and had been a State Senator, and Federal Judge.
The marriage did not last and the couple divorced. On the 1940 census, Katherine, age 30, is living in Fargo, Cass County, North Dakota, with her mother Augusta Young and working as a secretary.
Katherine married Phillip A Chenevert in Manhattan on 22 Jun 1940 (cert# 9082). They divorced in Cass County, North Dakota in 1942 and Katherine re-married Shorey C Guess on 18 May 1942 in South Dakota. In Jan. 1960 they divorced again in Dade County Florida (Florida Div. Index #358) but re-married again in El Paso, Texas in Mar. 1963.
