William Noble was born September 10, 1818 in Madison, Indiana to Thomas and Lydia Mills Harris Noble both of whom were born in New Jersey. William's first marriage was to Sarah Knight in Paducah, Kentucky on May the 12, 1845. Sarah Knight was born in Indiana on September 29, 1822. Together William and Sarah had 8 children: Catherine Singer; William Thomas; John Albert; Lydia Jane Noble; Albert Harris; Joseph D.; Annie Baker; Mary Catherine. Sarah Knight Noble then died July 25, 1864. William a widower, married Josephine Flowers on January 1, 1865 and they had children: Alice F. (Fannie); Sarah Ann; and Luella (Ella). They may of had other children together but at this time, they are unknown. William died May 23, 1877 and Josephine died one day later on May 24, 1877, both in Massac County Illinois. It is unknown exactly where William and Josephine are buried. It was said that William was buried near the Cumberland River near Tyline but I don't find anything on it.
