Mrs. Carroll was born October 24, 1921 in Loris, SC, a daughter of Wade Hampton Carter and Lydia Ada Patterson Carter. She was a homemaker and a member of The First Baptist Church of Jedburg.
Survivors include two daughters, Annie P. Myers and Dorothy F. Mandeville; two sons, James C. Carroll, Jr. and Donald R. Carroll all of Summerville; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
