Patricia Ann Allen-Roberts formerly of Warrensburg has moved on from Wesley Health Care Center to begin her new adventure in the afterlife on February 7, 2024.


Born on February 20, 1942 to Richard and Marilyn Allen of Lake Luzerne, NY she was always in search of a new adventure and made friends everywhere she went. She traveled with her sister to the family homestead in Ireland, did a tour of Mexico, Key West and Quebec City and many more.


She attended college at SUNY Cobleskill after her time at Hadley-Luzerne High School then was employed thru the Methodist Church at Sky Farm Camp in Horicon, NY where she met Bernard Durkee Jr and later met his brother Charles F. Roberts whom she married and raised a family with at 12 Terrace Ave Warrensburg.


Patti enjoyed helping others and worked for the Cooperative Extension delivering meals on wheels to those in need and did some miscellaneous office work.


She served as the Presbyterian Church substitute organist for many years as well as a Deacon for 4 years and she assisted in putting together the "Fishnet" church newsletter.


She was a master with a needle and created many handiwork masterpieces that will live on for years including counted cross stitch, crochet and knitting. Her love of reading resulted in a massive collection of books which have now been distributed to help many local charities.


After the kids were grown, she went back to college attending Adirondack Community College in Queensbury, NY where she got her Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts. She then transferred to Plattsburgh State where she got her Bachelor's and later Master's in English Literature which landed her a teaching job at Peru School.


When her teaching time was done, she moved back home and got a job as a Main Desk Operator at the Sagamore Hotel where she worked until her retirement.


She is predeceased by her parents Richard and Marilyn Allen and her husband of 62 years, Charles F. Roberts.


Survivors include: Sister, Linda Mason of Lake Luzerne, NY, a Son, Todd (Linda) Roberts of Cicero, NY, a daughter, Fawn (Daniel) Brown of Hudson Falls, NY, Nieces - Daphne (Denis) Belanger of Lake Luzerne, NY and Marci (John) Robarge of Corinth, NY, Nephews- Scott (Kelly) Mason of Lake Luzerne, NY, Steve (Sarabeth) of South Glens Falls, NY Bernie Durkee of Fairbanks, AK.


She will be laid to rest with her husband, Charles at Saratoga National Cemetery.
