Amy F (Coates) Hill 90 formerly of 32 Beacon St Florence a retired employee of First National Bank died Saturday in Mercy Hospital Springfield. Her husband Erwin M Hill died in 1981. Born in Easthampton May 7, 1899, she was the daughter of the late Charles C and Anna (Glunz) Coates. She was a graduate of Easthampton High School and a graduate of the former Northampton Commercial College. She retired in 1935 from the bank and was previously employed at the former West Boylston Mills in Easthampton. She was active in craft classes at the Hill Institute in Florence with a special interest in knitting and crewel. She leaves a son Robert A Hill of Wilbraham two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 am from the Mitchell Funeral Home 15 Park St with burial in Brookside Cemetery both in Easthampton.
