STEVEN W. HECKMANN

(1970 - 2024)

Steven Warren Heckmann, 53, of Spring Valley in rural Manitowoc County, died Friday morning February 2, 2024, as the result of an automobile accident. Steve was the son of the late Warren and Janet (Bell) Heckmann. He was born, raised and spent most of his life in the Spring Valley area. Steve attended Meeme Elementary School, Kiel Middle School and Kiel High School.

Steve worked in the roofing and construction trade for most of his adult life. He cheered on the Packers and enjoyed spending time outside snowmobiling, fishing, and taking walks with a number of different favorite dogs over the course of his life, the most recent being Mojo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Warren and Janet Heckmann; and stepmother, Freida (Kobs) Heckmann. Surviving family members include his brother; Tim (Michelle) Heckmann of Hudson Wisconsin; and nieces and nephews; Ben, Emily, Joseph and Lillia. Steve is further survived by the extended Heckmann family, the Woelffer family by way of Freida, along with other relatives and friends throughout the area.

Steve would especially like to acknowledge Breanna, Ezell, Zoey, Layla, Karvion, Heather, Brandon, Connie, Mark, Dylan, David, Scott, Byron and Jeff for their love and friendship over the years and for making his home in Spring Valley really feel like home. In particular, Steve will miss being called Papa by Zoey, Layla and Karvion.
