Donna Mae Bidwell, 91, went home to be with her Lord on February 4, 2024.
Donna was born on February 1, 1933, to the late John and Bertha (nee Mauer) Vash in Racine. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Theodore "Ted" Bidwell Jr., on October 18, 1957, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church also in Racine. They were married for 61 years until Ted's passing in February of 2019.
Donna worked at Educator's Credit Union as a bank teller for many years. She was a proud member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. Donna was known as a class act. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, and her favorite kind of dog, Schnauzers. Above all, Donna was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
Donna will be deeply missed by her son, Scott (Deborah) Bidwell; her daughter, Lynne Bidwell Morin; her grandchildren: Kirah Bidwell, Justin Bidwell, Andrew (Molly) Morin, and Patrick Morin; brother, John "Jack" Vash; sisters: Jeanee Effenberger and Loraine (Dave) Gosewisch; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Nilly.
Interment with a graveside service of committal for Donna will be held at Country Haven Cemetery in Caledonia on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 1:00 P.M.
