Binghamton: Matthew E. (Red) Leslie passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2011. He was predeceased by his parents, Matthew and Alice Leslie; his wife of 54 years, Mary T. Leslie; his sisters, Marion and Ceil; his brother, Bill; his brothers-in-law, Frank Winters, Tony, Alfred, Danny, and Geno DeAngelo; his sister-in-law, Ginny DeAngelo; and his nephew, Geno DeAngelo. He is survived by his children, Michael and Teresa Leslie, Roxanne and Carl Caswell, Alice Tracey Leslie, and Andrew and Erin Leslie; his grandchildren, Ryan and Morgan Leslie, Victoria, Anthony, and Sierra Caswell, Brennan and Samuel Leslie; his sister, Jean Winters; his brother, Tom Leslie; his brothers-in-law, Stan Wilcox, Millard Winters, and Albert DeAngelo; his sisters-in-law, Elaine and Joan Leslie, Nancy, Mia, Gerry, and Virginia DeAngelo, and Elsie Fiato; as well as several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. Matthew served his country during World War II, and after he was discharged from military service, he was employed for many years by GAF and Anitec Image. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 1, at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson with Fr. John Kurgan, pastor of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Matthew's memory may be made to the NYS Veteran's Home, 4207 NY Rt. 220, Oxford, NY 13830, or to the Alzheimer's Association of Central NY at www.alz.org/centralnewyork/
