Aaron Linwood Duck, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Friday September 8, 2023 at Sentara Obici Hospital Suffolk, Virginia.

Linwood was a native of "Duck Town" Zuni, VA in Isle of Wight County and was born June 7, 1956. Linwood graduated from Windsor High School Class of 1976.

Linwood was a dedicated employee of Duck's, now known as Drakes Meat Packing Plant until his health failed. Linwood was a member of Chapel Grove United Church of Christ, Windsor, VA. Linwood enjoyed good music, cooking and family time. Linwood also enjoyed just riding out looking at the many changes that were taking place throughout Isle of Wight County, the City of Franklin, Virginia and Southampton County.

Linwood was predeceased by his parents Aaron L. Duck, Sr. and Doretha Artis Duck. He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved sister Ella Frances Council (Milton Steve) his Stepmother Lorraine B. Duck and siblings, Sonya Boone, Lisa Duck, Samuel F. Duck, Jr. and Ronnie Duck. Nieces - Patrice Daniel and Kenita Ricks (Jerome), Nephew –Carlos Brown and Great Nephews Isaiah M. Daniel and Grayson K. Ricks. Aunts- Betty Ann Ashburn (Heywood), Audrey Duck, Gracy Duck and Louise Duck, Sarah Spratley, Frances Ricks, Odell Giles(Thomas) Elizabeth Hines (Raymond.) Uncle – Samuel H. Duck (Lois), a very special cousin Linwood Alvin Parham and a host of cousins and friends.

Linwood cared about people and he never complained about his condition. He took each day and lived it to the fullest, never being negative about his condition. His family knows that he is at peace.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11AM Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Chapel Grove U.C.C. Windsor, VA. Viewing will take place Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 3-6PM at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will also be held from 9AM to the start of the Funeral on Thursday. The interment will follow the service at Chapel Grove UCC. Please keep the Artis-Duck family in your prayers.
