Dorothy "Dot" Finley, 80 of West End, passed away on February 13, 2024 at her home.
Born on January 17, 1944 in Cumberland County to the late Lee Roy and Roxie Sherman.
Dot was a Christian woman that always wanted the best for everyone around her. She enjoyed attending church, traveling, working and spending time with her pets, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Dwaine Finley; three sisters, Ellen "Susie" Hubbard, Roxanne Honeycutt and (Infant) Elizabeth Sherman; seven brothers, Bill, Harry, Steve, Edward, Lee Roy, Jr., Ralph and Larry Sherman.
She is survived by her three daughters, Tammy Rausch (Ted), Jeanette Bouton (Ernie) and Jeannie Moyer (David); two sisters, Mary "Bobbie" Couch and Hilda "Skeeter" Parker; also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 9:30-10:30AM at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines with a service following at 10:30AM. Internment Private.
Services are entrusted to Boles Funeral Home of Southern Pines.
