Neeltje Kee Anderson-Starks, a beloved educator and dedicated advocate for children, passed away on January 21, 2024, at her home in Boise, Idaho. She was born on January 15, 1975, in Miles City, Montana, to Martha Wille Chapman and Steven Ray Chapman.
Neeltje's passion for teaching spanned over 15 years, during which she made a profound impact on the lives of numerous elementary children and those with special needs. Her commitment to education was evident in her last teaching position at Champion Preparatory in Longwood, Florida.
On October 23, 2023, Neeltje married the love of her life, Justin Weisner Starks, together they shared ten wonderful years of love and companionship. Neeltje always said, "May our love shine brighter than a Molotov cocktail." Her love for Justin was immeasurable.
Neeltje was deeply dedicated to her students, stating, "Teaching is my thing! I have been working with students of different backgrounds, ages, and cultural origins for over 15 years. As a teacher, I value my students and appreciate their trust. I believe that building rapport and providing a comfortable, yet challenging enough environment for growth is my main responsibility."
Neeltje is survived by her loving husband, Justin Starks; son, Gerrit Anderson; daughter, Avery Anderson; brother, Eric Chapman; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Chapman; and niece and nephews: Dakota Betzer, Braxton Chapman, Samuel Chapman, and Michael Chapman.
A graveside service will be held in Neeltje's honor at Star Cemetery at 2 PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. All of Neeltje's family and friends are invited to pay their respects. Following the graveside service, a funeral service celebrating Neeltje's life will take place at LifeSpring Christian Church, located at 174 N. Star Road, Star, Idaho, at 3 PM.
