Joye was born June 2, 1935, in Denison, to Basil and Neoma Sanders White. She was preceded in death by her parents, son David Porter, daughter Deborah MaGee, son-in-law Ronald Baustian and sister Jackie Mae Bishop.
Joye Colley was fun-loving and enjoyed life! She loved spoiling her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with hugs, kisses, and surprises to make their visits fun.
She also enjoyed playing all kinds of games and was especially impressive at a Blackjack table. But she was not selfish with her money. If Joye ever saw a young woman in need she would offer to help. She always had a little extra in her purse for occasions like that.
The last few months of her life Joye talked a lot about heaven. She spoke of seeing Jesus and her loved ones who were waiting for her, including her parents, daughter, and sister.
Mrs. Colley owned and operated a fine art gallery, Frontier Galleries, in Odessa, Texas for over 30 years. Following her retirement, she moved to Fredericksburg to be closer to her family.
Joye Colley will be cremated with graveside services held at a later date in the Area of Prayer in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Weatherford."
