Gary Watters Obituary
Gary L. Watters Sr., 63, passed away peacefully at 12:36 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2022 at the St. Joseph Health Center. Gary was born in Warren, Ohio on August 6, 1958 the son of Gerald and Aletha (Gilbert) Watters and lived in the Ravenna and Howland area all his life.

Before retirement, Gary had over twenty years of faithful service with the Niles Roll Service and over twenty years with the Akron Rubber Lining Company. He was a member of the Bolindale Christian Church and served as a church deacon. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his Harley and watching the Cleveland Browns. Gary always was the leader of the mealtime prayer and was very giving to others, especially trying to give assistance to those in need.

Gary is survived by his wife, Deborah K. (Plaisted) Watters whom he married March 11, 1978; son, Gary (Pauline) Watters Jr. of Mantua; daughter, Tania Watters of Howland; seven grandchildren, Heaven, Dominic, Amber, Rhyis, Adryana, Xavier, Emma; two great-grandchildren Elliot and Zareo; four sisters and two brothers: Linda Williams of Ravenna, David Watters of Charleston, Karen (Al) McClay of Ravenna, Denise Watters-Long of Ravenna, Dennis Watters of Ravenna, and Robin (Robert) Matthews of Ravenna. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Donald Watters.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Niles. The funeral will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Pastor Ray Blasko officiating. After the funeral home service, family and friends are invited to gather at the Bolindale Christian Church for the wake and bereavement luncheon.
