Alicia carried the California sun with her always, but a quiet breeze she was not. She was a free spirit and she is now forever free. She was a talented artist, a comedienne, a friend to many, and a caregiver. She is accurately described as "unique," "spontaneous" and "unforgettable."
Alicia was a mother of five children and a grandmother of two, who wish to remain private. She is survived by her mother, Kathryn Sue (Abell) Murray; brother, Ryan Hippensteel; step-father Robert Murray; sister, Robin (Murray) Shepherd; and brother, Lucas Murray; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins across the globe.
Alicia was predeceased by her eldest son, Brandon Carmichael; her father, David Hippensteel; and her step-mother, Diane Hippensteel.
The family wishes to thank Alicia's 'step'-daughter, Marcie Hernandez, Topeka, KS and her dear friend, Subrina Casey-Meredith for their love and support for Alicia over the years, the many trips to casinos, and especially in her final days.
The family will celebrate Alicia's life privately. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Midland Care Hospice House, Topeka, KS where Alicia's transition from this life was filled with love, dignity and expert care.
