Robert James Desmond, 75, Frankfort, died unexpectedly January 25, 2024 at University Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. A native of Salem, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Robert and Cornelia (Gronberg) Desmond.

He was a graduate of Sullivan University in Louisville with an associates in computer science. He was the founder and operator of CRISP Solutions, Inc., a computer programming initiative.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he served honorably, attained the rank of Sergeant and was awarded the Airman's Medal for heroism on June 9, 1970, and he was a member of the American Legion Post 7 in Frankfort and the VFW Post 4075 in Frankfort.

He was a writer of poetry and blessed his family regularly with poems specifically written for them individually. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, golfing, gardening and working. He enjoyed joking around and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He had a big heart, filled with love for his family, and he shared that love unconditionally.

In addition to his parents, his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Edith (Williams) Desmond, preceded him in death in August 2023.
