Brent Allen Miller, 70, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at 8:15 p.m., Friday, January 12, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. He was born on November 24, 1953, in Plymouth, Indiana, to Robert and Della (Lacher) Miller.
He retired from Dwyer Instruments after many years of service. Music was a big part of Brent's Life and he was a drummer in numerous bands over the years. Brent also enjoyed basketball, volleyball and watching college basketball. He was an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy books and he loved to share his knowledge of classic Rock N Roll. Brent also served his country in the United States Army. He loved his family and wife with all his heart. Brent will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kurt Miller; sister, Lisa McKee.
A funeral celebrating his life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, January 22, 2024 at Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100 with friends and family speaking. Visitation and viewing will be from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 21, 2024 and from 11:00 a.m. until time of service, Monday, at the funeral home. The family has requested that you come as you are; casual dress and band shirts encouraged. Burial will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery in La Porte.
