Frankfort – Gary "Mac" McDaniel age 69, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Lewis T. Adams officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Gary was born in Frankfort on January 15, 1955, to the late Kenneth Allen McDaniel and Mary Perry McDaniel. He was the owner and operator of McDaniel Electric for 45 years. Gary was a member of the Franklin County Sportsman Club, a life member of the NRA, past president of the Franklin County Archery Club, and an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Louise McDaniel; son, Gary Leslie Smitha, Jr. (Mary); sisters, Debbie Palmer and Susie Cox; grandchildren, William, Joshua, Calvin, Amanda, Brittany, and Alexis; and numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Gary Allen McDaniel, Jr. and Mack McDaniel; sisters, Vicky and Mary; and grandparents, Nathan and Eliza McDaniel and Dora Perry.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
