Sarah M. Kane, age 83, of Vanport, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Brighton Township. Born December 20, 1939, in Aliquippa, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Bertha 'Betty' (Meridith) Parrish. She was a member of the Salvation Army of Rochester, where she also taught Sunday school. She enjoyed taking care of her family, always keeping things peaceful. She was truly pure of heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David F. Kane; a son, Richard Scott Kane, as well as numerous siblings.

She is survived by a daughter; Betsy Kane; a son, David L. (Denise) Kane; three grandsons, Brian Kane, Ethan Cahill, and Trevor Kane, as well as numerous great grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters; Leona Daniels, Irene Monter, Mary Fazikas, Loretta Reed, and Vesta Vickodil; and four brothers; Norman "Bubby", Lee, Glenn, and Homer "Butch" Parrish.

Friends will be received Friday, January 27th, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8pm, and funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28th, 2023 at 10:30am, with Pastor Envoy John Barnett officiating, at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
