She was born in Guilderland on October 9, 1938 to the late Delbert and Marion Hamman Hallenbeck.
After graduating from Southern Pilgrim College in Kernersville, NC, she first worked for NYS before raising her children. She then worked at the Mohawk Valley Library Association, where she retired as Senior Clerk in 2000.
Margie was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church of NY.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Homer C. DeBell, Sr.
Margie is survived by her children, Homer Curtis DeBell Jr. (Gladys), Ruth DeBell Miller (John), Joyce Fuller (David), and Barbara Diggins (Dan); her 13 grandchildren; her 8 great-grandchildren; her brothers, James, William, and Douglas Hallenbeck; and many nieces and nephews.
Interment in the Grove Cemetery.
