Arthur Roy Arnold passed away peacefully in The Woodlands, Texas on August 23, 2023. He was born in Glendale, Texas on August 13, 1923 to Benjamin Aaron and Jo Nannie (Wyatt) Arnold.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Vera Mae Hutson Arnold; twin brother Archie Arnold, brothers Russell Arnold and Son Arnold; sisters Maureen Martin, Doris Nelms, and Wilma Sister Allen.

He is survived by his son, Brian Gregory Arnold and wife Mary; daughter Rosemary Vaughn; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Arthur grew up one of seven children on a farm during the depression. He joined the Navy, alongside his twin brother, in 1943, where they were both assigned to the USS Tennessee. That battleship earned an impressive 10 battle stars, one of the most decorated in World War II.

Beyond his military journey, Arthur continued to serve his community. After his discharge, he began a career with Magnolia Oil Company, a journey that would later transition into ExxonMobil. His work was recognized and celebrated, showcasing his unwavering commitment to excellence in all he undertook.

Arthur's legacy remains a testament to the valor of a generation that faced adversity, resilience, camaraderie, and unwavering determination. His life story, filled with courage, sacrifice, and achievements, serves as inspiration to us all.
