Lola Hoskins of Florence, KY passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on January 22, 2024. She is survived by her two children, Keesha Carnes and James Carnes (Misty), three grandchildren, DJ Carnes (Izzy Reed), David Carnes (Brooke Kunstman), Dylan Carnes (Caitlin Cross), one great-granddaughter Autumn Carnes, three siblings Ed Hoskins (Peggy), Saul Hoskins (Wanda), and Jewel Mayne (Arlie). She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings.

Lola was a retired paralegal for the state of Kentucky. Prior to that she pursued her state licensing as a hairdresser and worked in that field for many years. She was a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She played the piano in church for many years and taught Sunday School as well. Lola organized many functions for the youth congregation at New Life Chapel including plays, fundraisers, and parties.

Lola's happiest moments were surrounded by friends and family. She hosted many gatherings and helped organize family reunions. Her dishes and desserts were always a big hit with guests.

Lola was the dependable one, no matter her role in someone's life. She gave generously to many causes whether it be her time, baked goods, or monetarily. Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of Service at 1 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US Hwy 42, Florence, KY 41042. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Erlanger, KY.
