RueDell M. Sudweeks, our sweet, kind mother and grandmother passed away peacefully January 12, 2024, at Sunridge Assisted Living in West Jordan, Utah.

RueDell, 'Delly' as her father called her, was born October 30, 1932, in Kanab, Utah to Willard and Maurine Mackelprang. She was the second child of 6 children.

While going to school at SUU in Cedar City, she met and married Cloyd R. Sudweeks. They had 4 children and were later divorced.

She loved the LDS Church and it's gospel. She served a full-time mission in Northern California. RueDell thoroughly enjoyed the callings the Church gave her during her life.

She also loved to learn and always looked to further her education. She earned an Associates degree from SUU and later earned a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Utah.

Travel became a big passion for her during her later years. She enjoyed trips to China, Argentina, the Amazon in South America, and several trips to different locations in Europe.

She was kind and sweet, but also tough and very persistent.

RueDell is survived by her 4 children; Curtis, Randy, Diane (Kirk), Tony; 5 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers.
