He is survived by his wife of nearly 51 years Sherry, his children, Catina (Roland), Bobby, Chandra, and Characa (Javon) his grandchildren, Jabriel, Kelsey, Rayne Christian, MiAngel, JaSan, Jacara, and Paisley, and his siblings, Thomas Daniels (Katherine) and Artis Ponds and his in-laws Delores Ellenwood and Winnette Crumpton. He was predeceased by his mother and father Anne and Thaddeus Ponds, his sisters Debra Thomas and Thadetta Ponds-Sylvester, and in-laws Leatha Crumpton, Alto Crumpton and Kent Crumpton.
