Catherine M. (Sullivan) Burns, 96, of Sarasota. FL, died Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the Lifecare Center of Sarasota. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Raymond Burns Jr. She is survived by four children, Karen Fichera and her husband Bud, Lawrence Burns and his wife Mary, Nancy Mahoney and her fiancé Ken, and Daniel Burns and his significant other Carey; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Shea. She was born in Cambridge, daughter of the late Charles and Mae (King) Sullivan, and lived in Arlington, and Tewksbury, before moving to Hollywood, FL, then Sarasota, FL, several years ago. She graduated from Arlington High School in Arlington, MA.

Mrs. Burns was a senior account administrator at IBM Corporation for 15 years prior to retirement. She was a member of St. Jude's Church in Sarasota, FL. She was a member of the Polish American Club and the Rosary-Making Group. She enjoyed playing cards.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery in Oxford. A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, prior to the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
