Martha Elaine Bethka, 97 formerly of Fairmount passed away Saturday, January 13, 2023 at Elderwood in Liverpool. Born in Hays, Kansas to Alexander and M. Francis Creighton she married her sweetheart John in 1946. She was a long time member of Fairmount Community Church UCC and the Camillus Historical Society. Martha retired from NYS where she worked in the Unemployment Office in Syracuse for many years. She and John enjoyed attending many local church dinners and they were always seen together. She was predeceased by her husband John A. Bethka in 2017.

Martha is survived a son James of Liverpool; two grandchildren Nicole of Liverpool and Michael of Colorado; a daughter-in-law Patti; several nieces and nephews.

Services were private at B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, 10 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Fairmount Community Church, UCC, 126 S. Terry Rd, Syracuse, NY 13219.
