Spencer Young Man Dies Very Suddenly
Willard Filsinger Succumbs to Heart Trouble In Norfolk Hospital, Sunday
Willard Filsinger, 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Filsinger of Spencer, took ill last week and was hurried to Norfolk specialists in an ambulance Friday. He passed away Sunday evening ta 7:00, at the Lutheran hospital.
Willard Franklin Filsinger was born at Madison, Nebr., Feb. 19, 1910, and died after a short illness at the Lutheran hospital in Norfolk June 24.
He moved with his parents to Spencer in the spring of 1917 where he remained until the time of his death. Those left to mourn are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo Filsinger of Spencer, three brothers, Clarence and Leonard of Spencer; Lawrence of Meadow Grove; one sister, Mrs. Irene McQuistian of Yankton, SD and a large number of relatives and friends.
Pallbearers for him were chosen from among friends and former classmates of his and were Homer Dye, Tom Brown, Frank Hambek, Bruce Mac Duffee, Grenfall Penhollow and Carrol Hanson.
Burial was made in the family lot of Hope Cemetery at Newman Grove.
Rev. C.T. Antrim of the M.E. church officiating.
