In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, June, Charlotte, Carolyn, Doris; and brother, Clifford Allen.
J.C. was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shenandoah. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was stationed on the U.S.S. Essex and U.S.S. Philippine Sea aircraft carriers. After his discharge in 1955, he returned to Page County. In 1958, J.C. was united in marriage to Betty Mae Blankenbaker Foltz and they shared 65 years of marriage. He retired from Reynolds Metals after 34 years of service.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his children, Patty C. Price and husband, Bart, M. Scott Foltz and wife, Pat; grandchildren, Brandon W. Price and wife, Bethany, Ethan R. Price and wife, Lauren; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Jacob, and Gabriel Price. He is further survived by loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shenandoah with Pastor Tarja Stevenson officiating. Burial will be private at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at the church prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Paul Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 63, Shenandoah, VA 22849.
