Mariantonia Albano, daughter of Francesco Albano and Teresa Ferrara, married Michele Scavone on 23 March 1907 in Pignola, Italy. Mariantonia lived on San Nicola just down the hill from the San Donado Church. She loved hearing the bells tole.

The newlywed couple sailed from Naples, Italy for America on the SS Citta di Milano and arrived 14 July 1907. They entered America through Ellis Island.
