EDEN Danny Alvis Burgess Sr., 51, of 561 Garrett Road, died Saturday evening, March 1, 2003, at Morehead Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Eden, burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery.
Mr. Burgess was born in Rockingham Co. and was employed as a truck driver with Alliance Imaging Inc. Mr. Burgess was a veteran of over 17 years with the U.S. Army and also was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Mr. Burgess is survived by his wife, Kathy Golden Burgess of the home; daughters, Heather Hall and husband, David of Stoneville, Rebecca Anne Burgess of the home; son, Danny Burgess Jr. of Stokesdale; father and mother, Alvis and Peggy Burgess of Eden; brother, Davy Ray Burgess and wife, Pam of Eden; and three grandchildren.
