Donald had lived in Locust Grove for about the last 30 years, he moved there from Stillwater. He graduated from high school in Tulsa. Donald enlisted in the Navy and served 4 years during the Vietnam War. While in the Navy he started his electrical maintenance training. After Donald was discharged he attended college at OSU to further his electrical education and received his Bachelor's Degree. He worked for Air-X-Changers in Catoosa for several years, retiring in 2008. Donald was a member of the NRA (National Rifle Association). He was married to Vicki Lloyd on February 14, 1983 in Stillwater. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, tinkering with electronics and going to pawn shops. Donald loaded his own ammunition, traded and fixed up guns. Most of all Donald liked spending time with his family, especially his wife, daughters and grandchildren.
Donald is survived by wife Vicki, two daughters Nina DeBow and husband Billy of Terre Haute, Indiana and Arwen Boekema and husband P.A. of Zwolle, Netherlands, four grandchildren Aaron, Josh, Tygo and Luco, brother Jess Baxter and wife Sarah of Oklahoma City, sister Marti Burton and husband Barry of Yukon, two nieces Stacy and Kelsea and several cousins and other relatives and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, mother that raised him Claudia Baxter and granddaughter Olivia DeBow.
