Adeline C. Schwabe (nee Seisser), age 95, of Hoffman Estates formerly of East Dundee and Old Carpentersville passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Alden Poplar Creek Nursing and Rehab Center in Hoffman Estates. Adeline was born on January 15, 1928, in Burlington and was the daughter of the late Virgil and Addie (nee Herbert) Seisser. On June 18, 1947, Adeline married her husband Harry S. Schwabe. Harry preceded Adeline in death on September 22, 2006, after 59 years of marriage.
Adeline was a lifelong resident of the area. After she and Harry married, they farmed in the Dundee area before moving to Old Carpentersville. She was a lifelong member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee and a former many-year member of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Catherine's. Before retirement, for 22 years she worked at Dundee Middle School as a cafeteria cashier. Adeline enjoyed crocheting, crafting, and gardening. Most of all, Adeline loved spending time with her family.
