W. Joe Park 94 of Buford passed away on 5-10-2015. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernice Bailey Park; and daughters, Donna Jane Park and Melinda Kirk.
Survived by wife of nine years, Margaret Yancy Park; children: Myra Culbertson of SC, Julie & Sammy Youngblood of Statham, Rusty Park of Alton; David & Leah Park of Cornelia, and Tim & Kayla Park of Buford; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Born on 4-9-1921 in Auburn, GA, he was retired from General Motors after 30 years, was a member of U. A. W., and was a retired guard from Buford City School System. He mason and member of Buford Masonic Lodge for 62+ years. He was a member and former deacon of and teacher at First Baptist Church of Buford where he had over 50 years of perfect attendance in Sunday School.
Funeral service will be Tuesday in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery with a Masonic Graveside Service.
