Joe Lee Allen, 88, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on January 6, 2024. He was born on August 31, 1935, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Esther and Nathan Aubrey Allen. Joe married his loving wife, Ann Marie Allen, in the presence of friends and family, November 3, 1956. Joe demonstrated a dedication to serving his country through combined military service between the Army and Navy. Joe ensured to instill in his loved ones an appreciation for hard work. This was exemplified by his career with the Postal Service which spanned 35 years at his retirement.

Joe Lee Allen was a beloved member of his community and family. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle nature, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Joe will be remembered for the love he had for his wife, Ann, and how he eagerly accompanied her around the world to take in all of its wonders and baseball games. Joe will leave behind memories as a doting father, grandfather, and uncle to all of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Bennett-Allen, and his father, Nathan Aubrey Allen. His in-laws Frank and Margaret Castañeda-Villa, sisters-in-law Margy Weyandt, Norma Davis, and Linda Villa.

Joe Lee Allen will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. May his soul rest in peace.
