Mildred M. Bollenbacher, age 94, of Bremen, IN, passed away at her residence at 2:05 am, Friday, January 5, 2024 and went home to Heaven. She was born May 24, 1929 in Albion, IN to Orley and Berniece (Pippenger) Miller. Mildred lived in the Nappanee/Bremen area most of her life. On June 10, 1950 she married Lester Eugene Bollenbacher in Nappanee. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2020. Mildred was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bremen. Throughout her life, Mildred enjoyed crocheting and quilting and she was an avid reader. Surviving are her children: Cheryl Hochstetler of Nappanee, Brad (Susan) Bollenbacher of Bremen and Carla (Paul) Henson of Bremen; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Jerry Miller of Bremen and David Miller of Nappanee; and 4 sisters: Irene (Dick) Carrick of Wakarusa, Betty Witmer of Wakarusa, Thelma (Jerry) Neff of Nappanee and Carolyn (Roy) Weldy of Nappanee. She was preceded in death by her husband; son-in-law, Steve Hochstetler; sister, Jean Bone; and brothers Larry and Steve Miller. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 1-2 pm at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bremen. A funeral service will begin at 2 pm with Pastor Neal Wanacot officiating. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Mildred's name can be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
