Annetta Etta "Nettie" Crehan's obituary from the Vancouver Province, Sept. 28, 1905, page 16:

“The death of Annetta Etta, the beloved wife of Mr. M.J. Crehan, treasurer of the Mainland Transfer Company, occurred at 3 p.m. yesterday at the family residence, 326 Princess street.

The late Mrs. Crehan was born at Blanchard, Skagit County, Washington, twenty-seven years ago. She was married at the age of eighteen, shortly after which Mr. Crehan took up his residence in Vancouver, where they have resided ever since.

Mrs. Crehan was a very active worker in fraternal societies, being a member of the Foresters, Rebekahs and True Blues. Only last week she attended the session of the High Court of Independent Foresters in Armstrong, assisting the high secretary in all his work, and was highly complimented on the way in which the work was performed. “But in the midst of life we are in death.” She has been cut down, and leaves her husband and three children to mourn her loss and vainly await her return.

The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, from the Princess Street Methodist Church.”
