At age 81 Nancy was born November 17, 1942 in Stevens Point, WI. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Daisy (Mansavage) Zakrzewski. She attended local grade schools, graduating from P.J. Jacobs High School.
Her marriage to David R. Pliska took place on May 11, 1963 at St. Peter's Catholic Church. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point. Her husband David preceded her in death on July 28, 2001.
Nancy worked for the Hallmark store for a number of years and also did Day Care and babysitting for a number of family members.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Nancy's name will be established at a later date.
In her free time Nancy enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, collecting recipes, playing yahtzee, campfires, playing cards with the neighbors, going to Country Music festivals and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband David, two brothers Billy and Tommy and two sisters Marge and Sandy.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Pisarski Funeral Home, 703 Second St, Stevens Point. Deacon Ray Heitzinger officiating. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 am at the Pisarski Funeral Home until the time of services.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at House of the Dove in Marshfield for their loving care and kindness shown to us and our mother while she was in their care.
