Ladona Burrell Honeycutt, of Wheeler, TX, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023 in Amarillo, TX at the age of 68 years, 8 months and 17 days. A Family-directed Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Cornerstone Church in Wheeler, with Rev. Erron Mercer officiating.
Arrangements and Cremation are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
Ladona was born on April 12, 1955 in Wheeler to the late A.W. and Cledith (Arnell) Burrell. She was a lifetime resident of Wheeler and graduated from Wheeler High School. Ladona married Michael Honeycutt in Pampa, TX in October 1972. He preceded her in death. She loved to cook and bake homemade goodies and made a delicious Lemon Meringue Pie. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains, but her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, A.W. and Cledith Burrell; and her husband, Michael Honeycutt.
Survivors include her 5 children, Heather Bridges and husband, Richard, of Pampa, Kaydense Honeycutt of Wheeler, David Halencak and wife, Sharla, of Tulsa, OK, Heath Honeycutt of Pampa and Gavin Honeycutt of Wheeler; 2 brothers, Markus Burrell and wife, Terrye, of Shamrock and Kelly Burrell and wife, Lucy, of Shamrock; 2 sisters, Theresa Burrell of Wheeler and Elisha Bonner and husband, Joe, of Wheeler; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous other family members.
