A former resident of Evansville, Indiana, he came to the Rio Grande Valley in 1923. He was a postal clerk in the Harlingen Post Office for 39 years and a member of th 2nd Baptist Church. Survivors include four sons, a daughter, 14 grandchildren, two great grandsons and four step-grandchildren.
