The funeral services of Jeremiah Thomas will be held at the Union Christian Church two miles south of the city tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment at the Thomas cemetery."

"Jeremiah Thomas, one of the old pioneers of Miami County, died on Thanksgiving day, Nov. 29th, 1894. He was born on Christmas day in the year 1813 in Fayette county, Ky. His parents moved to Miami county in the fall of 1814 and settled in Concord township, two miles of south Troy. Mr. Thomas lacked but a few weeks of being eighty-one years of age. He became a member of the Christian church in 1839...Mr. Thomas's ancestor, Abram Thomas, one of the first settlers of the county was a companion and friend of Daniel Boone...The early recollections of Abram Thomas," which has since been quoted in almost history of the Miami valley. Jeremiah Thomas was a type of the first settler of Miami county honest and generous, a God fearing and a God serving man..."

A portrait and biographical record of Delaware Co, IN. Pub 1894 Pgs: 708-709 states Jerry Thomas is a brother to Price Thomas and their siblings are listed. "He had the following brothers and sisters: Milton, a doctor; Susanna, wife of Benona Robbins; Price, an auctioneer; Dorinda, wife of Andrew Battrell; JERRY, a farmer; William, a plasterer, and Michael, a farmer."
