Francis was a department manager at Wal-Mart and had also been the head checker at Kroger. She was a member of Christ Gospel Church in Kennett where she served many years as a Sunday School teacher and on the praise team. Francis enjoyed spending time with family and friends, baking, reading and arts and crafts such as ceramics. When her granddaughter was younger she took pleasure in sewing dresses for her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Davidson, one son Michael Keith Wheeler, one brother-in-law Reverend Don Emery, and two sons-in-law, William Dean "Bill" Pierce and Joshua Waln.
Survivors include: on son, Mark Wheeler (Vanessa) of Leachville; one daughter, Rebecca Waln of Rome, Georgia; two sisters, Mary Emery and Linda Gaskins (Hershell) all of Kennett, MO: two grandsons, Eric Wheeler and Elijah Wheeler; one granddaughter, LaTisha Pierce.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Christ Gospel Church in Kennett. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Neel, Dustin Pretchett, Jesse Thomas, Terrill Hourd, Lavaughn Hourd and Kenny Beaird. Honorary pallbearers will include Hershell Gaskins, Walter Hourd, and Tony Emery. The family will receive visitors Tuesday from 11:00 until service time at Christ Gospel Church.
