George Washington Empfield was one of several children of William Weekly Empfield and Elizabeth Willman. On Dec. 25, 1907 George W Empfield married Annie May Conrad, daughter of James Conrad and Martha Dunwiddie, in Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. George and Annie had one son, James William who died at two years of age. On his death certificate George W Empfield was listed as a carpenter; he died of Myocarditis.
