In 1881 they were living in McKillop, Huron Centre, Ontario. The family moved to the Farmington area of Oakland Co., Michigan in 1882. A few years after this the family settled in Rolland Twp., Isabella, Michigan where Charles farmed.
Damie died in 1895. The following year Charles married Anna Black in Detroit. Anna died in 1910. The following year, Charles left his family and farm in Michigan and went to Winnipeg, Manitoba where he married the widow Letitia Lowes Mills. They immediately moved to British Columbia where they remained. Letitia died in 1944.
