Ada Elizabeth Jones who was so lovingly called "Pinkey", was born June 30th, 1946 to the late Elder John A. Tucker and Vivian E. Tucker. She entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 22nd, 2023.

She attended Bridgeforth School where she was a majorette. She loved to tell the story of how she was the best they ever had. Ada attended TSU after high school land became employed at The Growing Tree Nursery School. Through the years she was employed at several factories in Pulaski, mainly the former Genesco. Her love for cooking was evident because she cooked with love and loved to feed people. In her later years she became the head cook at the Heritage House Restaurant. She became known there for her green beans and Jack Daniel Pies to name a few.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28th, 2023 from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
An additional visitation will be held on Friday, December 29th, 2023 at 11:30am at St. James Baptist Church.
The Funeral Service will follow at 12:00pm on Friday, December 29th, 2023 at St. James Baptist Church.
The interment will take place at Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski, TN.

Ada was preceded in death by her parents, Elder John A. Tucker and Vivian E. Tucker, Aunts, Pauline Walker, Ruth Martin, Mary E. Jones, and Virginia Cross, Brother, John M. Tucker, and sister, Estella Brown.

As a young adult Ada Joined Dixon Chapel Presbyterian Church under the leadership of her great-uncle James Cross. Later, she joined St. James Presbyterian Church under the pastorship of her father, Elder John A. Tucker. She was a faithful member of the choir until her health started to decline.

Ada (Pinkey) leaves behind to cherish her memory: A loving and devoted husband Robert A. Jones, Two sons, Steven D. Gilbert of Smyrna, TN, and Kerry T. Gilbert of Pulaski, TN. Four bonus children, Brenda Jones, Eddie Jones, Celia Jones, and Robert Tracey Jones. Sister, Evangelist Tootsie Gilbert of Pulaski, TN, Four sisters-in-law, Rose Marie, Margie Gilbert, Caulyne Cross of Pulask8i, TN, and Gloria Cole of Huntsville, AL.
Ada was rich in nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
