Corrella Jean Elroy, 61, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 26, 2023 in Marlow, Oklahoma surrounded by her loved ones.
Corrella was born Thursday, September 20, 1962 in Oklahoma City to Correl Morris and Margaret (Moore) Thornton. She attended school in Wynona, Oklahoma and went on to attend the University of Oklahoma. Corrella moved to the Marlow and Rush Springs area where she lived most of her life. She worked as a salesperson for Small Engines Services in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Corrella enjoyed going dancing, going to rodeos, especially ranch rodeos, and caring for others. She was a member of the Vimy Ridge Baptist Church, and she taught Sunday School classes there for a long time. Corrella also held her family very dear to her. She was the family organizer, and she was always there to support her family. She especially loved spending time with her granddaughters. Corrella will be deeply missed until the great reunion day.
Survivors include her two sons, Justin Elroy and wife, Mandy, of Marlow and Jarrod Elroy and wife, Jennifer, of Marlow, four granddaughters, Emma, Tegan, Raegan, and Blakely, three great grandchildren, Serenity, Nathan, and Dexter, two brothers, Jason Morris and wife, Carrie of Barnsdall, Oklahoma and Charles Morris and wife, Jennifer, of Duncan, two sisters, Brenda Ratliff and husband, Fred, of Cleveland, Oklahoma and Edia Killgore and husband, Donde, of Marlow, her best friends, Cindy, Debby, Steve, and Cricket Bratcher, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of friends.
Corrella was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and her niece, Trudy Ratliff.
Pallbearers will be: Donde Killgore, Kody Killgore, Fred Ratliff, Jason Morris, Charles Morris, and Bruce Gilcrest.
