James "Buster" Leonard Adams, Jr., 86, of West Memphis, Arkansas, departed this life on December 21, 2023, at Willowbend Nursing Home in Marion, Arkansas. He was born on March 11, 1937, in West Ridge, Arkansas, to James Leonard, Sr. and Lula Iceydora George Adams. Buster was a member of Missouri Street Church of Christ. He loved White River bottom fishing, hunting, college football, and he was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan. He was well known for the Family Horse Show.

He is preceded in death by his wife of fifty-four years: Dorothy "Dot" Jean Chapple Adams, his parents, one son: Jimmy Adams, two brothers: Edward and Vester Adams, and three sisters: Lorrine Adams, Mittie Morgan and Patsy Adams.

Buster is survived by two sons: Steve Adams and wife Debbie of Earle, Arkansas, and Jeff Adams and wife Paula of Crawfordsville, Arkansas, one daughter: Terry Jean Parrish and husband Ricky of Crawfordsville, Arkansas, two brothers: Benny Adams of Flint, Michigan and Charles Adams of Columbia, Missouri, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. and visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Missouri Street Church of Christ in West Memphis, Arkansas.

Interment will follow funeral service in Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
