Comedian, Actor, Composer, and Musician. He was a musical comedy legend who co-starred in the popular duo, the Smothers Brothers alongside Dick Smothers. He began his career by appearing on "The Steve Allen Show" in 1961 and later went on to negotiate creative control for the CBS variety show "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" in 1967. He even played guitar on John Lennon's hit single "Give Peace a Chance" in 1969. In addition to his work in television and music, he also appeared in motion pictures, portraying the corporate-executive-turned-tap-dancing-magician Donald Beeman in "Get to Know Your Rabbit" (1972). He was also known for his voice-over work, voicing Ted E. Bear in two animated specials. He established Remick Ridge Vineyards in Sonoma County, California in 1977 and sold it in 2023. Unfortunately, he revealed in a 2023 interview that he had been diagnosed with stage 2 lung cancer, although his prognosis was good. He passed away at the age of 86 at his home.
