Wanda Ivonne (Cranor) Sones, of Circleville, OH, went to be with Jesus on December 21, 2023. Wanda was born September 14, 1938, in Wilson County, Kansas to Earl Ray Cranor and Wilma Lorraine (Davidson) Cranor. Wanda gave her heart to Jesus at a young age. As a young adult she felt God wanted her to go to Bible college. She went to God's Bible School and College where she met Calvin Sones and on August 9, 1961, they were married in Independence, KS and moved to Pennsylvania. Wanda served the Lord with Calvin as he pastored in the Oil City Conference of the Free Methodist Church from 1961 – 1975. In 1975, they began to serve in the Alabama Bible Methodist Conference. They served together in Cordale, GA (1975 – 1978), Birmingham, AL (1978 – 1984), and Miltonvale, KS (1984 – 1995). In each of those churches Wanda spent some time as a teacher in Christian Schools.

In 1995 Wanda received her RN from Cloud County Community College and worked in nursing homes as a registered nurse for approximately 14 years.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Earl (Dick) and Wilma Cranor; and her two brothers Dean Cranor and Loran Cranor.

Wanda is survived by her children Rodney (Rachel) Sones of Circleville, OH and Janice (Darrin) Russell of Wellsville, PA; grandchildren Bethany (Marcus) Chong of Circleville, OH; Nathaniel Sones of Delaware, OH; Son-Ja Russell of Titusville, PA; and Kerri Russell of Pensacola, FL and one great-grandson, Peter Chong. She is also survived by her sister, Janice (George) Prior of Rogers, AR as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home,Inc., 30 N. Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA with the Reverend William Reese, officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Burial, immediately following the service, will be in the Dillsburg Cemetery - Golf Course Road.
